Terms & conditions
These terms govern entry to any prize draw run by Speenk. Please read them before you enter.
1. Who may enter
You must be 18 years of age or older and hold a valid mobile number to enter a Speenk draw. Numbers from outside Ethiopia must include their country code. Entries registered with a number we cannot reach may be rejected.
Employees of the organiser and their immediate families may not enter a campaign they administer.
2. Entering a draw
An entry is created when you pay the published ticket price and register that payment with the reference number and a legible receipt.
One payment entitles you to one ticket. A payment reference that has already been registered will be refused.
You may request a specific ticket number. It is held for you while your payment is verified and released if your entry is rejected. If you do not choose one, a number is drawn for you at random.
3. Verification
Every entry is checked by a person against the payment record. Your ticket number is issued and sent to you by SMS only once the payment is confirmed.
If a payment cannot be matched to a receipt, the entry is rejected and any number you chose is returned to the pool. We will contact you so the problem can be resolved.
An entry that has not been approved is not in the draw.
4. The draws
Each campaign publishes its prizes and, where scheduled, the date of each draw. All approved tickets in the campaign are entered into every draw.
Winners are selected using a cryptographically secure random number generator. Neither the organiser nor any sponsor can influence the outcome.
Unless a campaign states otherwise, a ticket that has already won is excluded from the remaining draws so that prizes are spread across more entrants.
A draw may be postponed if too few tickets have been sold. Any change of date is published on this site.
5. Prizes
Winning ticket numbers are published on the results page. We contact the winner on the phone number registered with that ticket.
You must be able to identify yourself as the registered holder of the winning ticket before a prize is handed over.
Prizes are as described in the campaign. Where a prize cannot be supplied as described, an equivalent of no lesser value may be offered. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash unless stated.
Any tax or duty arising on a prize is the responsibility of the winner unless the campaign states otherwise.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Once an entry has been approved and a ticket number issued, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
If a campaign is cancelled before its first draw, ticket payments are refunded in full.
7. Conduct
Registering someone else’s payment, submitting an altered receipt, or attempting to obtain more entries than you have paid for will void the entries concerned without refund.
We may refuse or void entries where we reasonably believe there has been fraud or abuse.
8. Responsible play
Only spend what you can comfortably afford to lose. A lottery ticket is entertainment, not an investment or a source of income.
If playing stops being enjoyable, stop. Speak to someone you trust.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The version published here at the time you enter is the one that applies to that entry.
